Ayesha Gulalai Wazir joins PTI
PESHAWAR: Former member of All Pakistan Muslim Leaugue (APML) and former coordinator of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Ayesha Gulalai Wazir from Fata, has officially announced in a press conference to join the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Friday.
She announced her decision in a press conference with PTI’s provincial leader, Asad Qaiser. Her decision is likely to give PTI more political support from Fata. Wazir said that PTI’s stance on important national issues had inspired her to join the party. She termed PTI’s ‘peace march’ to South Waziristan a ‘bold step.’
Ms Ayesha said that she joined PTI as it raised voice against the unending miseries of Fata people.
“It is duty of the state to provide protection to lives and properties of people and solve their problems, but the government has failed to fulfill its responsibilities,” she said.
