Operation against illegal occupants of Federal Lodges, Gulshan-e-Jinnah launched

ISLAMABAD: Ministry of Housing and Works has launched an operation against the illegal occupants of the Federal Lodges and Gulshan-e-Jinnah Islamabad.
According to sources, three cases of illegal occupation of lodges had arisen in Gulshan-e-Jinnah and action is being taken against them. The residents of the lodges, who had not paid rent of their residences for long now, had also been served notices, while a strict action would be taken against the defaulters, the sources added.
The Housing Ministry wrote a letter to the Pakistan Public Works Department (Pak PWD) for the renovation of and maintenance of Federal Lodges, Gulshan-e-Jinnah and Fatima Hostel. The letter written to the Director General of the Pak PWD stated that the condition of buildings of the government residences was not up to the mark, the sources said. The ministry asked the Pak PWD to renovate and redecorate the buildings and change the old furniture.
