Sahebzada lauds approval of energy policy by Nawaz Sharif
HYDERABAD: Central leader of Pakistan Muslim League and former MNA, Sahebzada Shabbir Hassan Ansari has praised the policies of prime minister adding that the approval of national energy policy was Nawaz Sharif’s step forward towards meeting the energy requirements of nation and towards ending load shedding.
In a statement issued here on Tuesday, Sahebzada Shabbir Hassan Ansari said if the agreement with China is met the nation could get rid of load shedding. He lauded the recent successful visit of China by Mian Nawaz Sharif and said that the approval of 5-year plan of national energy policy by ML government would usher in new era of progress and advances for the country under Nawaz Sharif.
He said with 400 MW Hydel Power Project completion the generation of 7000 MW power through coal would not only make the country self-sufficient in power, but we can export the same to neighbouring countries like Bangladesh. More the generation of power the country could overcome its economic and energy problems.
He congratulated the nation that prime minister Nawaz Sharif has started to implement the pledges he had made with nation. However he deplored that the past government has done nothing in field of energy due to which nation was facing load shedding. He said it was matter of pleasure that load shedding was being reduced day by day and during one of month of government of PML its during has come down from 12 to 6 hours and hoped that in a month or so more there could be no load shedding. He was critical that the Sindh government and Hyderabad municipal authorities have taken no step to drain out rain water from the city and that whole city was giving look of a lake.
