AIOU declares final results of M.Phil and Ph.D programmes
ISLAMABAD: Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) has announced the final results of M.Phil (Chemistry), M.Phil (Physics), M.Phil (Urdu) and Ph.D (Chemistry) for the Semester Autumn, 2012.
The Vice-Chancellor, AIOU Prof. Dr. Nazir Ahmed Sangi pushed the computer button and inaugurated the results by printing the result card of a Student of M.Phil (Urdu) namely Muhammad Imran S/o Muhammad Ashraf, Roll No.AL740455 belong to District Layyah. Controller of Exams, Dr. Hamid Khan Niazi, Additional Controller, Iqbal Hussain, Haji Abdul Shakoor and Incharge Computer Section, Shabnum N Shahid were present on the occasion.
After declaration of results, the Vice-Chancellor said that the University has focused all its concentration on improvement of the students’ facilities ensuring equal access to quality education. He said various steps for expanding the University’s infrastructure and improving the quality of academic programmes have been undertaken and facilities for the students have also been increased during the last three years. He said that ten schemes amounting to Rs.100 million to support its poor and needy students through scholarships and fee-concession have also been initiated. AIOU, he said has been unprecedented growth in the students’ enrolment in the last two years, which showed students’ trust in the Universities educational pursuits.
