Akshay Kumar’s ‘Rowdy Rathore’ reaches 100 Crore
It is not surprising that a movie enacted by Akshay Kumar has hit the box office upto a 100 Crores. After the success of ‘Agneepath’ and ‘Bodyguard’, Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi Sinha starrer and Prabhudeva directed film ‘Rowdy Rathore’ which proved to be of a massive success.
The Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted, “Rowdy crosses 100 crore mark. Shanghai is below the mark. Rowdy Rathore collected 22 crore nett this weeking taking the total upto Rs 101.5 cr nett. Breakup:- Fri 5.1 cr, Sat 6.4 cr, Sun 10.5 cr +. Rowdy Rathore has crossed Rs 100 cr nett mark at the end of Weekend 2. Has performed exceptionally well at single screens as well as multiplexes,”
The more exceptional news is that the movie itself is a remake of a telugu film namely, “Vikramarkudu.” This has been the second blockbuster after “Dabangg” and was highly appreciated by the crtics and audience. With a grand opening, this was Akshays first ever opening in the long run to his filming career thus making it a very joyous moment for everyone in the cast, crew and filming team of the movie, “Ra=owdy Rathore.”
