Memorial lunch in honour of Mansur Ali Khan Pataudi
The death of a charismatic cricket captain is indeed saddening. In honour of Mansur Ali Khan Patadi, a memorial lunch is being arranged to be held on Friday The lunch hosted by Indian Journalists’ Association (IJA) in the Edwardian suite of the St James Court hotel in central London, which will be attended by Pataudi’s widow Sharmila Tagore, son Saif Ali Khan and daughters Saba Ali Khan and Soha Ali Khan.
The tiger Pataudi had passed away due to some kind of a lung infection which ultimately cause his death on the 22nd of September’11. They will also be accompanied by Saif’s fiance and Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor who is going to tie the knot with Saif Ali Khan soon enough. They will also be joined by Pataudi’s first cousin Shahryar Khan and his family. The lunch is scheduled to be very formal as the Secretary General of the Commonwealth Kamlesh Sharma is also going to be present along with several dignitaries and members of the house of Lords.
Apart from this, test players from India, England and Pakistan will pay tribute to Pataudi and a short film of a test match of 1967, which shows Pataudi batting, will be screened during or after the lunch memorial.
