PREVIOUS ARREST WARRANT
A sessions court on Mar 18, 2014, issued an arrest warrant for film actress Meera for her failure to appear in court despite summons issued over a plea seeking registration of a criminal case on charges of filming a ‘controversial video clip’ and uploading it on social media.
An additional district and sessions judge had sought appearance of Meera and her husband Capt Naveed but they did not appear in the court following which the court ordered police to arrest and produce the couple before it on March 25.
The petitioner had claimed that the controversial video of the couple which was leaked out and posted on the internet had brought disrepute to the nation.
MEERA PROPOSED TO IMRAN KHAN
Earlier on Sep 06, 2014, Lollywood film star Meera has proposed marriage offer to Pakistan Tehreek-Insaf (PTI), Imran Khan and also selected a designer for placing order of traditional ‘Sherwani’ if her dream of wedding come true.
Meera also has aspiration to see him Prime Minister of Pakistan.
The actress said that former test batsman Basit Ali was the chairman of her hospital project while Younis Khan had been included in the board of directors.

MEERA’S LAHORE RESIDENCE ATTACKED
Unidentified gunmen resorted to aerial firing outside the residence of the film actress Meera, after which the attacker(s) fled from the spot.
According to Lahore police, the incident occurred late at night outside the famous Pakistani actress’s house, in the Lahore City’s famous Defense-B area. Police added that the assault however, did not cause any loss of life taking place at Lollywood actress’s house.
Meera (born Irtiza Rubab), made headlines very recently, not for a successful appearance in some film but for allegedly filming an ‘objectionable’ clip; featuring the 37-year-old with her husband Captain Naveed; doing some ‘immoral’ acts!
Police Superintendent Sarfaraz Virk said that after receiving an application from the family members of the actor, they would take action against the suspect(s) involved in the attack.
In 2009, Meera had filed a complaint, reporting a similar firing incident outside her residence.
Meera had put the blame on the son of a businessman belonging to Faisalabad, Atiqur Rehman. She had alleged that Rehman carried out the attack with the help of armed men.
