Deadly Nigerian air crash with blood on ground and on board

LAGOS: A plane carrying 153 passengers on board crashed and its debris fell on a number of other people.

The McDonnell Douglas MD-83, from Dana Air, crashed in a residential area on Sunday and then burnt into flames.

The flight data, cockpit recorder and other related things have been recovered according the sources.

Nigeria has considerably improved its air safety measures and, according to its president, it will further improve its ways of enhancing the safety measures.

“I am here with members of the national assembly, because we will thoroughly investigate this… at the end of the day, we will make sure that this will never repeat itself again in this country,” President Jonathan  said.

The airline company is aggrieved at the situation and the website message says, “Our thoughts and prayers are with the families of guests who were involved in the Dana Air mishap. May the souls of the deceased rest in peace.”

The rescue work is in progress with the help of huge cranes to lift the pieces of McDonnell Douglas MD-83 plane. Dead bodies have been recovered and carried to the places where they should be. The mournful scene of so many killings has made everybody sorrowful as it is another air traffic accident that has killed not only the passengers on board but the residents and workers on ground.
