José Lucas Majano Mejia: A Honduran accused of rape, changes sex to escape justice

A Honduran accused of raping a minor, who had changed sex and taken the appearance of a young woman to escape justice was convicted for the rape of a son of his wife eight years old.

“José Lucas Majano Mejia, 24, was convicted of aggravated rape of an eight-year minor” by a court in San Pedro Sula, the second largest city, located 240 km north of the capital, said Friday a spokesman for the prosecutor. He faces a sentence of 45 to 60 years in prison.

José Lucas Mejia Majano was married to a woman with two children, one of whom was accused of rape in late 2012. Having established the facts, the court ordered his arrest, but the accused fled to Mexico.

In November 2013, the mother of the victim was intrigued by the presence of a woman with her former stepmother. Through photos published on social networks, it has been shown that this person was in fact her ex-husband who had changed sex.

The mother warned Justice, which proved that the woman was indeed the fugitive, who had undergone an operation in Mexico, and arrested him before bringing him before a court.
