American hostage Kayla Mueller raped by IS leader Al-Baghdadi before dying

Parents of the American Kayla Mueller, who died in early February while she was in the hands of the Islamic State, affirmed Friday in ABC being told that their daughter had been raped by the top leader of IS, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi.

Kayla Mueller, a US humanitarian killed when she was a hostage of the Islamic State, was raped repeatedly by the head of the Islamic State, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, during her captivity in Syria, said US officials.

“We were told that Kayla Mueller had been tortured, it was owned by Al Baghdadi. This is what the government has told us in June,” said the parents of the young woman, Carl and Marsha Mueller, quoted by ABC News. US officials interviewed by Reuters spoke under condition of anonymity and the White House declined to answer the questions about Kayla Mueller’s rape.

Arrival in Turkey in December 2012, Kayla Mueller worked for a Turkish humanitarian organization giving assistance to Syrian refugees along the border with Syria. She was abducted in August 2013 at the exit of a hospital in Aleppo, in northern Syria. Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi has personally made ​​sure that the young woman was detained at Abu Sayyaf’s home in Syria.
