Being allergic to peanuts means; you’ll soon end up desensitized

With milk and eggs, peanuts are among the major food allergens in children. Desensitization may be soon possible.

Rhinitis, eczema, hives, asthma, abdominal pain, vomiting, and even anaphylactic shock in the most severe cases, symptoms of peanut allergy are numerous. And this allergy rarely heals. Only 10-15% of children see it disappear in adulthood.

EAT FIVE PEANUTS TO FILL

* Researchers at the University of Cambridge are to succeed in children by making them absorb small doses of peanuts .With this desensitization, these children may eat up to five peanuts. If there is no question, for allergic children, let them nibble, if only because in small, there is a choking hazard, it reassures parents if they ingest the food container.

You should know that peanut allergy affects one child in fifty and it is a leading cause of death in the field of allergy food.

Like any desensitization, it is done only in hospital.

WHERE HIDE THE PEANUTS?

Many foods may contain peanuts outside the fruit itself and its oil:

  • margarine
  • some meats such as sausage, pâté,
  • cereal bars,
  • confectionery with vegetable oil without mention of its origin,
  • the crackers,
  • the breakfast cereals …
