ETIOPATHY: A method using only manual techniques; to treat dysfunctions of the body

The etiopathy is a method that uses only manual techniques to treat dysfunctions of the body.

Founded in 1963 by the French Christian Trédaniel the etiopathy is a method of reasoning to determine the causes of a health problem and remove them acting on them. His intervention techniques are exclusively manual. The term “etiopathy” comes from the Greek aitia(“cause”) and pathos (“what affects the body”).

The etiopathy fits into the long tradition of manual therapies. As far as we can go back to our origins, of Asklepios at Ambroise Pare, we still find traces of these essential techniques good support the body in its natural functionality.

The work of Christian Trédaniel led to the drafting in 1979 of theprinciples fundamental to a medicine etiopathic, reference book that has been the subject of several journals and editions corrected by the founder himself.

The étiopathes who commit to respect the rules of conduct established by the profession are registered with the National Register of étiopathes (RNE). Since 1986, the RNE address annual list of its practitioners to the Department of Health.

The etiopathy is primarily a method of reasoning, analysis and understanding of pathological phenomena to identify the causes of dysfunctions of the human body and remove exclusively by manual techniques.

Its foundations and practice, the etiopathy is close to the osteopath . The body is considered a mechanical admittedly complex and successful, but sometimes fails. The etiopath is “mechanical engineer” the human body, which he studied in depth to find the real cause of the failure, that is to say its cause, without confusing it with its effects.

The etiopathy therefore seeks to identify the primary causes that cause the symptoms the patient is assigned. By identifying these lesions, the etiopath back to the origin of the problem of trafficking and permanently removes its effects. It offers precise manual techniques inherited from the ancestral reboutement revisited in light of the most recent anatomical data.

The etiopathy is a treatment method that combines scientific analysis of pathological phenomena and manual action on the structures of the human body to normalize their relations and their functions.

The competence of etiopath is very broad and covers a wide range of conditions:

  • Typical applications on the spinal locomotor apparatus and, for example carpal tunnel syndrome, periarthritis, neck pain, back pain, back pain , cervico-brachial neuralgia, névralgis sciatica, neuralgia thigh …;
  • the strains, sprains, dislocations .

The etiopath also provides solutions to problems:

  • ENT disorders: conjunctivitis, sinusitis, otitis, rhinitis, certain respiratory allergies;
  • disorders of the respiratory system: asthma, bronchitis;
  • gastroenterological disorders: some forms of hepatitis, constipation, diarrhea, bloating, colitis, heartburn, acid reflux, flatulence;
  • general disorders: some forms of depression, anxiety or insomnia;
  • gynecological and urinary disorders: cystitis, incontinence, difficulty or painful intercourse cycle, menopausal disorders, prolapse;
  • Obstetrics: nausea, vomiting, repositioning of the fetus.

The etiopathy consultation takes place in two parts: etiopathic clinical analysis and treatment.

Etiopathic The method is based on laws, long-established and unanimously approved by the scientific community: physiological interrelationships, neurological processes, hormonal …

Generally, two to six interventions are successful in treating common ailments. The treatment is longer in patients with chronic disease. Aetiopathic treatment requires no maintenance consultation.

It is not, strictly speaking, against-indications, but areas where etiopathy not involved.

The etiopathy does not act in the event of major disease (cancer, tumor …), the mandatory and microbial invasion in severe surgical indications.

If etiopathy uses gentle manual manipulation techniques to treat many ailments of everyday life, it is not a substitute for surgery or medication when they are indispensable.

Etiopathic the reasoning proceeds in a logical and orderly process:

  • collection of facts expressed by the patient through a rigorous examination (symptoms experienced, functional genes, limitations felt movement …)
  • development of diagnostic etiopathic: logical reasoning based on the evidence gathered in order to understand the real causes, and to assess their potential resolution etiopathic response;
  • confirmation of diagnosis through a thorough clinical examination, if necessary;
  • assessing the degree of scalability, that is to say, gravity and urgency of the situation described.

Etiopathic diagnosis leads to the most appropriate to reduce injuries to the therapeutic procedures.

The proposed treatment for each patient is customized depending on its condition and its own peculiarities. The practitioner is only manually, without instrument or device of any kind whatsoever.

The etiopath operates through joint mobilizations unforced or tissue-specific techniques for the various systems involved in the condition of the patient.

These specific actions are aimed at both musculoskeletal structures as digestive organs, genitourinary or respiratory tract.They allow the restoration of disturbed functions and structures are followed by a rapid improvement in the patient’s condition.

The success of the etiopathy causes people to assume the title of etiopath without having jurisdiction. To avoid confusion, it is essential to inquire beforehand.

In France, teaching etiopathy is exclusively offered in four faculties : Paris, Rennes, Toulouse and Lyon. Several health professionals (étiopathes but anatomists, radiologists, emergency physicians, surgeons, anesthesiologists, biologists, etc.) need to ensure the proper acquisition of knowledge and skills throughout the six years’ hard training.

The etiopathy has established professional structures to control the strict rules laid down are met. Moreover, given the increasing number of étiopathes the National Register of étiopathes (RNE) has established a standing committee in charge of professional control facilities. It provides the discipline and control of compliance with ethical and ethical rules of the profession.

Do not hesitate to consult the directory of certified by the National Registry of étiopathes professionals , published by the French Institute of etiopathy. It brings together practitioners graduates of four facultiesetiopathy who commit to practicing exclusively etiopathy and to respect the rules of conduct.

The fees for a consultation etiopathyon average are 50 euros. Étiopathiques the treatments are not reimbursed by Medicare. Many mutual reimburse the other hand. Check with your affiliate organization.
