Army, Govt cooperation infusing confidence in businessmen ; General Raheel termed leader of exceptional qualities and courage: ACCI


ATTOCK: Founder president of Attock Chamber of Commerce (ACCI) Mirza Abdul Rehman has been elected as president of the Chamber in the annual elections. Ayaz Adil has been elected as Senior Vice President while Arshad Mughal has been elected as Vice President of the ACCI. Senator Haji Adeel, Senator Haji Ghulam Ali and others have felicitated Mirza Abdul Rahman on his election and hoped that he will resolve the issues of business community and guide them in thick and thin. Speaking on the occasion, Mirza Abdul Rehman who is member of FPCCI’s Businessman Panel and has served as VP FPCCI said that he will try his best to come up to the expectations of the business community. He said that unprecedented cooperation between Government and Army has improved overall situation in the country and infused confidence in the masses as well as business community. Standoff between government and business community on withholding tax on banking transactions is not in the national interest and it should be resolved immediately as objectives of the tax and not that are cited. The veteran business leader said that success of political and military front is heartening which calls for special incentives for the province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Fata and Balochistan. He lauded COAS Gen. Raheel for spending Eid with forces engaged in war against terrorists at Waziristan and later at Khyber Agency which speaks of his exceptional leadership skills and determination. The economic corridor, forex reserves situation, reduced inflation and peace in Karachi will go a long way in restoring confidence of masses, he said.
