Armed men attack private college in Gujrat


GUJRAT, Jan 30 (INP): Unidentified riders of a car late Friday night opened fire at Concordia College, a private educational institution here, and created panic in the area.

According to eye-witnesses, many windows of the campus building were shattered.

Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) City Mustafa Gillani and Station House Officer (SHO) Sajjad Zaidi reached the college with a heavy contingent. According to the SHO, some six fires were shot at the building, which shattered a glass door.

Meanwhile, More than 27 suspects, including two Afghan refugees, were detained during the search operation in different areas of Kohat on Saturday.

According to the security forces, the suspects were taken into custody from Jurma, Suwar, Gul and areas adjacent to Kohat University and were shifted to an undisclosed place for investigation.
