Patrol force constituted for security of passengers, vehicles at KKH
MANSEHRA, Feb 02 (INP): Patrol force comprising 200 personnel and two SDPs has been constituted for security of passengers and vehicles travelling on Karakurram Highway (KKH).
Regional Police Officer (RPO) Hazara, Akhtar Hayat Khan inaugurated the office of the Regional Office of the force in district Mansehra.
Speaking on the occasion Akhtar Hayat Khan said that check posts have been established at 25 kilometer at KKH between Mansehra and Gilgit-Baltistan.
He said that constitution of the patrol force make the journey on KKH safe for the passengers and good carrying vehicles.
The RPO assured the newly constituted force for extending all sorts of cooperation with them. He also urged the patrol force personnel for showing better performance and sparing no efforts to provide security to people travelling on KKH.
Meanwhile, commuters, motorists and goods transports have lauded the constitution of patrol force and expressed hope that it will make the journey safe. Earlier, people feared to travel on KKH in the evening and late night due to threats of being looted by the robbers.
