PML-Q leaders urge govt to pay heed to provide basic facilities to masses
LAHORE, Feb 02 (INP): Pakistan Muslim League (PML-Q) leaders have urged the Punjab government to pay heed to provide basic facilities to masses including education and health facilities instead of wasting the resources on multi-billion projects for rewarding blue eyed people.
The PML-Q leaders and workers of different wings fully participated in the protest rally taken out by the united opposition on Mall Road Lahore against Orange Line Train on Tuesday.
Speaking on the occasion, Ch Zaheeruddin Khan said that the rulers in Punjab should pay attention to endow people of province with basic life amenities instead of dollars making projects. They alleged that adequate treatment facilities and medicines are not available to the patients in government hospitals, funds of education are being spent on show off projects, thousands of government schools have been closed and children of the poor deprived of educational facilities. After Metrobus bus, provincial government project of Orange Train adversely affected the beauty of provincial capital, they said adding that shops, houses and business of the people are being destroyed and the whole city is facing miserable situation.
The protest rally was also participated and addressed by Mian Munir, MPA Khadeeja Farooqui, Engineer Shehzad Elahi, Amna Ulfat, Majida Zaidi, Takmeen Aftab, Parveen Gill, Rana Riaz, Bilal Sheerazi, Nasir Ramzan Gujjar and other PML-Q leaders.
