Doctors, paramedics observe strike in Peshawar hospitals
PESHAWAR, Feb 03 (INP): Doctors, nurses and paramedical staff in Lady Reading Hospital and other hospitals of the city on Wednesday observed strike to press for acceptance of their demands by the government.
Young Doctors Association have been demanding the government to withdraw its decision to end GMI and duty timings, besides giving health allowance to all employees,
The association warned that the protests and strikes would be extended across the province if their demands were not fulfilled.
A large number of patients suffered due to the strike in all three major public hospitals, while a patient also died.
