SHC issues notices to DG Rangers, IGP in missing persons’ case
KARACHI: The Sindh High Court (SHC) on Monday issued notices to Director General Sindh Rangers, Inspector General Police Singh and others in the case pertaining to over 70 missing persons.
The two-member bench headed by Justice Irfan Saadat heard the case of missing persons and sought a progress report on March 7.
The court also imposed fine on investigating officer Ebadat Ali for non-recovery of missing Shahzeb Ali.
The SHC directed the officials concerned to register the case in the respective police station from where citizens had gone missing.
Meanwhile, the court ordered the authorities to arrange a meeting of Minhaj Qazi’s mother with her son and disposed off her case regarding recovery of her son.
Earlier, a public prosecutor told the court that Minhaj Qazi, an accused involved in the murder of former Managing Director Karachi Electric Supply Corporation Shahid Hamid was in Rangers custody for 90 days.
