Three arrested for selling dead chicken in Peshawar
PESHAWAR: The district administration arrested three shopkeepers for selling dead chicken and recovered over 1000 expired chicks here on Monday.
Assistant Commissioner (AC) Altaf Sheikh said that on public complaints, a team of the district administration along with police raided three shops situated at Pajgi Road of the provincial capital Peshawar during which more than 1000 dead chicks were recovered and three culprits were nabbed.
The detainees in preliminary interrogation admitted supplying of dead chicken to restaurants. The police have registered a case against the detainees and further investigation was in progress.
