CTD arrests two terrorists with explosives, ammunition
BANNU: The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) arrested two terrorists of a banned outfit and recovered explosives and ammunition hidden at a primary school building here on Monday.
The recovered ammunition included 61 rockets, 50 mortars shells and huge quantity of explosive material.
30 suspects arrested in Kohat
Police arrested 30 suspects with arms during a search operation in different areas of the city on Monday.
The police checked the computerized national identity cards and other documents of the people staying in hotels and inns of the city and arrested those who failed to prove their identity. The detained were being interrogated at respective police stations.
Four held with over 50,000 kites, strings in Multan
Police arrested four culprits for preparing kites and metallic strings during a raid at kite factory in Gur Mandi here on Monday.
More than 50,000 kites along with thousands of meters of string were recovered from the factory. Owner of the factory Muhammad Waseem was also among the arrested.
It may be mentioned that the Punjab government has imposed a ban on kites business and flying to prevent incidents which often result in loss of precious lives, injuries, life-time disabilities and disruption in power supply. Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has directed the authorities to take strict action against the violators of the ban.
