PPP Riyadh celebrates Pakistan day

RIYADH: Pakistan People’s Party Riyadh region observed Pakistan Day by holding a conference titled as “Azm-e-Pakistan”.

The Pakistan Day is annually celebrated in the memory of 23rd March 1947’s Lahore Resolution which is commonly known as Pakistan resolution, the resolution evolved as a demand for a separate and single Muslim state called Pakistan.

The conference commemorate the determination of the founders, political leaders and workers of Pakistan movement that lead them to the creation of a free and independent country.

Fayaz Ali khan president PPP Riyadh presided over the conference whereas Khalid Rana General secretary PPP Riyadh Region conducted the proceedings of the conference that formally begins with the recitation of Holy Quran by Mubashar Anwaar.

The speakers paid rich tributes to the heroes of Pakistan movement and stressed on the importance of the revival of that great determination showed by the founding fathers of the country, “It is our duty to carry on that great mission and vision of our forefathers to build Pakistan a strong and solid nation among the world. In order to keep stability in Pakistan we must promote more & more love, peace, tolerance and solidarity between us”, they said.

Those participated in the conference were Rao Tahir Information Secretary PPP Riyadh Region, Siraj Ullah from People’s youth org, Waqar Naseem Wamiq of Halqa-e-Fikr-O-Funn, Abdul Qayyum Khan of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, Zahoor Ahmed Fazal of Awami National Party, Rana Khalid Akram of PML-N and Wasim Sajid of PPP.

Fayaz Khan concluded the conference on a high note of advice,” We need to re-discover ourselves, it’s a landmark day of our history that brings us an honorable place in the world community. We need to adhere the teachings of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and follow his golden principals of unity, faith & discipline”, he added.
