Compulsory training, hygiene supervisors for Snacks industry from 15th October: DG PFA
LAHORE: DG Food Authority Noor ul Ameen Mengal met the Snacks Industries owners in Punjab Food Authority Headquarter. Talking about children, he said that our children are very keen to eat the snacks. It is very important to use quality ingredients and file full details on the packing.Prepare all the products according to law and hygiene principles. All components, including, basin, pulses, spices, are meant to be standard and usable. DG Food Authority said that the aim to establishment of Punjab Food Authority is not to destroy people’s business. Authority is always available to help the industry for maintaining all standards in food preparation.
The business adjustment time is always given before the implantation of new rules regarding food, and the history is maintain before the action is taken against any food point.He further added that Punjab Food Authority has been arranging 5-days training regarding food Hygiene. The industry owners have been given time limit of six-month to get workers trained from PFA training schools established in Lahore, Multan and Rawalpindi.
The strict actions will be started after the PFA and snacks industry owners mutual decided deadline of October 15. The DG Food Authority further said that Punjab Food Authority is providing consultancy service to food business operators which is not only help to improve the arrangements but also to standardize standards. Moreover, he asked to all food business operators to get registered with Food Authority. Delegation appreciated all the taken initiatives and cooperation by Punjab Food Authority.
