Three dead, eight hurt in Bhakkar coach-truck collision
BHAKKAR, Feb 01 (INP): At least three persons were killed and eight injured in the collision between a passenger coach and a truck in Behal area of Bhakkar on Monday.
Rescue personnel reached the site of accident, shifted the injured to District Headquarters Hospital Bhakkar, where the condition of two was stated to be serious.
The police impounded both the vehicles into custody and after registering a case started investigation.
Three die of consuming toxic liquor in Badin
At least three persons died of consuming toxic liquor in Khourwah village of Badin district on Monday.
The bodies were shifted to Civil Hospital where they were handed over to heirs after postmortem. The police after registering a case into the incident have started the investigation.
One killed, another injured in Bhalwal shootout
A person was killed and another seriously injured in firing by armed men over a personal dispute in Salam Town, Bhalwal on early Monday morning.
The killers managed to escape. The body and the injured were moved to a hospital and the police after registering a case started efforts to arrest the culprits.

Woman dead, husband hurt as truck hits motorcycle in Shorkot
A woman was killed and her husband was seriously injured when a speeding truck knocked down their motorcycle near Sabir Chowk on Jhang Road in Shorkot.
The body and the injured were shifted to a hospital for medico-legal formalities. The police registered a case and started efforts to arrest the truck driver who had fled.
Two killed, one hurt in firing of armed men on shop in Nushki
At least two persons were killed and another injured when armed persons opened firing on a shop here on Monday.
Police said that armed men sprayed bullets on people present at the shop situated in main bazaar of district Nushki of Balochistan resulting into death of two persons and leaving another serious wounded and fled the scene.
The bodies and injured were moved to hospital for medico-legal formalities and the police after cordoning off the area launched search operation but the assailants managed to escape.
Police said that the incident seems to be an outcome of personal grudge, however, a case has been registered into the incident at respective police station and investigation was in progress.
Five injured in collision between cars in Muridke
At least five people were injured in collision between two cars due to over speeding here on Monday.
Rescue sources said that while attempting to overtake other two cars collided at GT Road near Kala Shah Kaku in Muridke.
Five people were injured in the accident who were rushed to THQ Hospital Muridke where condition of three wound stated to be serious.
Traffic remained suspended for more than half an hour after the accident and long queues of vehicles were witness on both sides of the road. Later traffic police reached the scene and cleared the road for traffic.
Three real sisters die, two affected of eating rotten cake in Raiwind
Three real sisters died while two others were hospitalized after eating rotten cake here on Monday.
According to Shahzad, a resident of Railway Colony Raiwind, his five daughters ate cake which turned out to be poisonous for reason unknown resulting into immediate death of two including one and half year old Amina and four-year-old Tayyeba while three others fell unconscious.
The affected girls were rushed to hospital where another girl expired, raising death toll to three. Medical reports said that the deaths were caused due to food poisoning.
Man shot dead in Peshawar
Armed men shot dead one person over personal grudge here on Monday and fled the scene after committing the crime.
Police said that armed culprits sprayed bullets at man killing him on the spot in Toheedabad area of Yakatoot Peshawar and managed to escape.
The body was moved to hospital where it was handed over to heirs after postmortem. The police after registering a case against the murderers started raids for their arrest.
