TEVTA to start Chinese Language courses in Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, Gujranwala and Sialkot

LAHORE: Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority (TEVTA) has decided to start Chinese Language course in other cities of the province of the Punjab. The three months duration courses will be launched at Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, Gujranwala and Sialkot. Currently, TEVTA is managing three months duration Chinese Language Course for general public while 4 moths duration course for executive and business community at Lahore. This was stated by Chairperson TEVTA Irfan Qaiser Sheikh while reviewing the progress of Chinese Language Course.

Chief Operating Officer Jawad Ahmed Qureshi and other officers were also present on the occasion.

Irfan Qaiser Sheikh said that more than 500 persons have completed the three months duration courses while first group of four months executive courses will be completed in April this year. Executive Course has been started at Govt. Technical Training Institute Gulberg while general language course at Govt. College of Technology Railway Road and Govt. Technical Training institute Gulberg. The capacity of each class is 50 students.

Chairperson TEVTA further said that people from other cities were contacting to start Chinese Language Course at their cities. In order to cater the said demand, TEVTA is starting this course in other cities. This course will also be helpful for the Pakistani youth who may intend to get job in Chinese Companies working in Pakistan and employment in China. Purpose to start this language program of other cities is to make the already trained skilled labor force of Pakistan more acceptable in the Chinese market. He was confident that Pakistan can attract Chinese manufacturing sector by developing a trained workforce for industries all over the world.
