HYDERABAD: At least 7 children have died of measles in village Allah Bux Brohi in Taluka Latifabad without treatment of health department and carelessness of district administration. The parents of children suffering from measles had approached deputy commissioner Hyderabad and given him application seeking medical assistance but because of indifference of district administration and health department 7 ailing children died elder being of 5 years while 20 more inflicted under same disease were lying on death bed. Those who expired included years Saleem Shaikh, 2 years Shahzadi, 5 years Zubair Ali, 5 years Jan Muhammad, 2 years Mustafa Shaikh, Rozina Shaikh and 3 years Akbar. 20 more children in same village were in critical condition and if the district administration and health department Hyderabad failed to deliver service they may also die. Villagers told that few days back they had given application to deputy commissioner Hyderabad and requested him to send medical team to save children but no medical team nor of district administration arrived in village. They told they were so poor that don’t have money for transportation so could not take their children to hospitals.
