DC, other officers of Jamshoro got away Rs.35 crores of villagers lands acquired for RBOD

HYDERABAD: The villagers of Ghulam Bhucha village, Laki Shah Saddar district Jamshoro have complained that they were living here since centuries. During period of Gen. Mushraf Right Bank Outfall Drain (RBOD) project was launched for which their precious lands (which they were tilling as only source for their livelihood) were acquired by revenue department. But they were not paid compensation of their lands and Deputy Commissioner  of Jamshoro Sohail Ahmed Bachani in collaboration with RBOD engineer Bahar Ali Jumani,treasury officer Nisar Bughio, Mansoor Ahmed Shah, land officer Muzaffar Katpar and land acquisition officer Kazi Mushtaq under forgery got Rs.35 crores 25 lacs from treasury by distributing the amount among themselves but never paid a single rupee to affected villagers the owners of acquired lands.

Addressing news conference at Hyderabad press club Noorul Hassan Bhucho told media that deputy commissioner Sohail Ahmed Bachani was arrested by NAB who confessed corruption of more than Rs. 10 crores through forgery in record of rights. He paid Rs.2 crores to NAB. He told that engineer Bahar Ali Baloch also paid back Rs.60 lacs to NAB.

But he said the remaining officers involved in this forgery and fraud were still roaming free and working on their posts. He demanded to arrest remaining officers land officer Muzaffar Katpar, treasury officer Nisar Bughio, accountant Mansoor Shah, accountant Saifullah Magsi, Mukhtiarkar Manjhand Kazi Mushtaq and contractor Shabbir Ahmed Dasti of M/s SSD. He also demanded that the amount of land acquired from them be paid to them. He made appeal to army chief Gen. Raheel Sharif, DG Rangers, Chief justice to impart justice to them by punishing the officers above named and making payment of compensation of land taken from them.
