SAU to top among all universities of Pakistan within 2 years: VC Dr. Mujeeb Saharai
HYDERABAD: Vice University Sindh Agriculture University Tando Jam Dr. Mujeeb Sahrai has said with his efforts the shape of the university would change in coming 2 years and that it would top among all universities of Pakistan with regards to infrastructure, teaching and research sectors. He was talking with a delegation of press club here. He said with the introduction of teaching calendar the concept of late examinations and class has come to end while on the other and teaching and research atmosphere has been provided in laboratory and classes. He said there had been 30% increase in post graduate and undergraduate o admissions. He said the trend of giving priority to medical and engineering and now priority was being given to agriculture and livestock education. He informed that he had got sanctioned PC-1 of Rs.9 millions from the federal government with which buildings for the new administrative block, faculties, IT center, farmers advisory center, new and modern auditorium hall, compound wall to hostels and campus would be built and furniture and equipment in class rooms provided. He in other universities there might be work on theories, but here real and practical research concept was available in agriculture. He informed that a big number of teachers in SAU was of P.HDs. He said agriculture farms of the university were presenting experimental basis. On this occasion President press club M. Akhtar, general secretary Mustansir Jatoi, Mazhar Lashari, Ali Muhammad Jamali, Saleem Yazdani, Mir Shah Nawaz Talpur and others were present.
