Information Dept. working on health facilities for journalists: Div. Director
HYDERABAD: Divisional Director Information Hyderabad Zulfiqar Ali Shaikh has said the primary function of the information department was to bring government performance to people and people’s problems to the government. He said journalists who point out problems and issues facing people should be given acclamation. He said this while talking with senior journalist and former treasurer of Hyderabad press club Aijaz Leghri who met with him in his office.
Div. Director Information further said that the government has taken many steps on health and education which need to be made better by journalists through pointing out the issues in a positive way so that more and more people can benefit from same.
He said the information department was also working to provide better health facilities to journalists under which ailing journalists and their family members were provided financial assistance. He said social media was also active after print and electronic media. He said there was a need for social media’s positive use so that it can give positive results. On this occasion, Information Officer Alamgir Ranjhani was also present.
