Nandipur Project Admin to be made accountable for negligence: Asif

ISLAMABAD: Minister for Water and Power Khawaja Mohammad Asif has said the administration of Nandipur Power Project would be made accountable for negligence and delay in completion of the project.

In an interview, he said, the companies which were given responsibilities to run the project should be fined.

To a question, he said the Nandipur Power Project could not be run to its full capacity of producing four hundred twenty-five megawatt power due to technical faults in the fuel treatment plant, which was purchased by the previous government.

The Minister said the target of five hundred twenty-five megawatts power generation would be achieved next year by converting the Nandipur plant to gas.
