Hairan Khattak retires, hailed for exemplary services at IIUI

ISLAMABAD: Famous literary figure and Head of Protocol and Public Relations (P&PR) of International Islamic University (IIU) D.K Hairan Khattak got retired on Tuesday.

Hairan Khattak who is known for his creative Pushto poetry and journalistic services, was also honoured with a farewell by the department where his services were appreciated by the P&PR officials.

“Hairan Khattak set the P&PR section on new avenues of success and established a close link of university with the media” said Dr. Muhammad Bashir Khan, Acting IIUI President in his message on Hairan Khattak’s retirement. He appreciated Hairan Khattak’s services for literature and lauded his services in various departments of the university.

Hiran Khattak started his career as journalist and worked as news editor Daily Wahdat (Peshawar). He also served in Press Information Department as editor of monthly magazine Abaseen. Hairan Khattak was inducted at Dawah Academy of university in 1990 and worked on Pushto and Central Asian languages at the Academy, while he also started orientation programs amid his service in the training department of Dawah Academy.

He also enhanced academy’s Publications Department’s performance by publishing a large amount of books of academy. In his last part of job, he joined P&PR department of the university and worked for the image building and varsity media relations in successful manners.
