KARACHI: Eight members of a banned organization including Pathan Nazir were arrested during a crackdown here on Tuesday. The crackdown was carried out in Manghu Pir. Illegal weapons, ammunition and explosives were seized from their possession.
According to sources, the intelligence agencies carried out series of operations in different areas of the city. They captured eight suspects. One of them was a member of the banned outfit, Tehreek-e-Taliban’s Abid Machar Gang. One of the suspected injured in the cross-fire was later identified as Nazir Pathan alias Badshah was also held. Two other accomplices of the suspect managed to escape. Illegal weapons ammunition and explosives were seized from the detainees. A case was filed against them.
On the other hand, Azizabad police arrested five suspects including two dacoits. Three suspects of gang- war captured from Liyari Khadda Market. Further investigation revealed that the suspects are members of Wasi Ullah Khokhar Group.
