Traders’ leader gun down in Peshawar
PESHAWAR: Haji Haleem Jan, a prominent traders’ leader was gunned down by unidentified armed men here on Tuesday.
According to police, the trader leader was sitting at his shop in Qissa Khwani Bazaar of Peshawar when unidentified armed men opened fire at him with four bullet wounds, Haji Haleem Jan was rushed to Leady Reading hospital where the doctors declared him dead.
Police said that the attack seems to be an incident of target-killing that prompted shopkeepers to close businesses in the old and famous market of Peshawar.
