MUMBAI: Suruguru Parameshwaraiah Nagesh, the Founder Trustee, Samarthanam Trust for the Disabled and President, Cricket Association for the Blind in India (CABI), passed away last month after a sudden cardiac arrest. This was revealed by John David, the acting member of the CABI.
“He died with a heart attack due to high Blood Pressure. He got the pain on his left hand on Sunday 24th morning and went to the Doctor who advised him to be admitted”.
“Nagesh just went to have his breakfast in the hotel nearby hospital and while eating he got severe attack and died immediately”, David added.
“He was instrumental in formalizing the cricket for the blind and also to conduct matches at par with BCCI, thus providing every blind boy in India an opportunity to play the game at national and international levels”.
“He also had huge plans for the forthcoming second T20 World Cup for the Blind being planned in November 2016”. . .
He was 49 years old and leaves behind a wife and son aged 8 years.
