HYDERABAD: Pakistan Muslim League district vice president Abdul Waheed Inqilabi, Taluka Latifabad President Ayub Rajput, Usman Qureshi, Saleem Ashrafi, Abdul Aziz Chundrigar and Sunny KK in a joint statement have slated police failure to curb the sale of new kind of narcotics Manpuri Ghutka, which was spreading throughout district like a poison. They have made an appeal to the commissioner, DIG, has and deputy commissioner Hyderabad to take notice of open sale of this menace and order crackdown against it. They said that slum areas of city including Noorani Basti, Preetabad, Mir Town and other areas were infested with this menace unchecked as Hyderabad police have totally failed to curb it or was in complicity with culprits. They said its sale was openly made on water shops and pushing the people to death while others were struggling between life and death. They demanded prosecution of narcotic sellers to a military court and until the culprits were not given stern punishment this dirty business was not to stop. They also demanded from DG Rangers to launch an operation against Manpuri Ghutka sellers along with operation against terrorists.
