Hyderabad bazaars closed on strike call of MQM

HYDERABAD: Main Bazaars and shopping centers of Hyderabad city remained closed on strike call of Muttahida Qaumi Movement against mass arrest of their workers and also on Rangers raid last night at the home of Dr. Farooq Sattar parliamentary leader of MQM in National Assembly. The traffic was thin on roads. Some areas wore a deserted look.

Meanwhile, MQM workers took out a rally from Zonal office to press club which was addressed at press club by MNA Syed Wasim Hussain, MPA Sabir Qaimkhani, and MPA Rashid Khilji. They lashed out at the government for an unnecessary raid on their parliamentary leader Farooq Sattar, which they termed as an attempt to harass the party leaders. They said that hundreds of their workers have been arrested and continue as such. They demanded to release arrested workers to end unrest among their workers.
