LARKANA: Khaksar Tehrik chief Dr Sabiha Mashriqi has strongly condemned the killing of innocent Muslims in Burma and criticised the government of Pakistan for not lodging a strong protest against the mass killings.
Speaking to a gathering in Larkana, the Khaksar leader said this genocide cannot be ignored and that all human rights organisations and Islamic organisations must condemn it and protest at international forums. She added that Pakistan, as an Islamic state, should raise its voice along with all Muslim countries at international forums, including the United Nations and other platforms.
Pakistan and other Islamic countries should play their vital role in stopping the genocide in Burma, she said. She said it is a religious duty to support Muslim brothers, and that brutality anywhere in the world, including the genocide of Muslims in Burma and elsewhere, will never be supported. That is why the Khaksar Tehrik is raising its voice against this cruelty and protesting against this tyranny, she said.
Later, several Khaksar activists stood in a line and shouted slogans against the brutality. They called for the unity of the Muslim Ummah and demanded that the government lodge a strong protest. They said a large number of Muslims have been killed or burned alive and several villages have been destroyed.
Khaksar Tehrik Sindh leader Azm-e-Hyder, A.Q. Mujahid, Manzoor Ali, G.H. Mrani, M. Yaseen, Sher Halipoto and others were present at the protest meeting.
