Air Force Reserve Capt. Jamie Brunette commits suicide
United States Air Force Reserve Capt. Jamie Brunette has allegedly committed suicide in Florida on February 9. However, her family believes that she was sexually assaulted in Afghanistan.
According to Tampa police, the 30-year-old US Air Force Reserve Capt. was found dead in the back of her locked car [Sedan] near her apartment in Florida.
14-YEAR-OLD RINKU AKHTER TAKES HER LIFE
In Mymensingh, Rinku Akhter, 14, a Class VIII student, took her life over a trivial matter in Gohailkandi Mirbari area of the district town in the afternoon.
The deceased was daughter of Abdus Samad of the area, reports our correspondent.
Police said, Rinku demanded Tk 200 from her mother to buy shoes at around 10:00am.
As she did not give the money, Rinku committed suicide by hanging herself from the ceiling of her room, said Abu Mohammad Fazlul Karim, officer-in-charge of Kotwali Police Station.
On information, police rushed to the spot, recovered the body and sent it to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy.
A case was filed in this connection, said the OC.
