Key suspect involved in Shuja Khanzada’s assassination arrested from Attock
ATTOCK: Security agencies on Tuesday arrested another key suspect involved in Punjab home minister Col (retired) Shuja Khanzada’s assassination from Attock district.
According to the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) spokesperson, suspected terrorist identified as Qasim Muawiya was tracked through mobile data.
He was presented in the anti-terrorism court (ATC) where the court sent him on physical remand.
On August 16, Shuja Khanzada and 16 others were killed in a suicide blast in the village of Shadi Khan in Attock district. The minister was holding a meeting with local people who had come to express their condolences on the death of his cousin when the incident occurred.
The attack was masterminded by a local Tehreek-e-Taliban commander namely Qari Sohail. Other facilitators have been identified as Zaheer alias Talha and Imran Sattar.
