SHEIKHUPURA, Jan 31 (INP): Three members of a family drowned and nine persons were rescued when a boat capsized in River Ravi near Kala Khatai area of Sheikhupura.
According to Rescue sources, the incident took place due to overloading. A mother and her two children drowned, whose bodies were fished out by the rescuers.
The rescued persons were shifted to a hospital where some of them were stated to be in serious condition.
Marriage feud claims woman’s life
A woman was killed and other two other persons were injured when armed men opened fire over a marriage feud in Obaidullah Kousar village, Sheikhupura on Sunday.
The dead body and the injured were shifted to a hospital for medico-legal formalities.
