IPL: Delhi Daredevils vs Gujarat Lions Match Preview

IPL

Delhi Daredevils and Gujarat Lions are set to confront each other today. The match will be played today in Feroz Shah Kotla, Delhi.

Delhi Daredevil lost their opening match of this year IPl against Kolkata Night Riders miserably. They couldn’t even score 100 runs and got all out on 98, 2 short of a 100. But since then they haven’t looked back. After losing the first match miserably, Delhi went on to win three consecutive matches against Kings XI Punjab, Royal Challengers Bangalore and Mumbai Indians respectively. Their opening batsman Quinton de Kock  has been performing tremendously. So far in 4 matches, he has already scored a fifty and a hundred. He is helping his team big time to win matches. Middle order batsmen Samson and Duminy are also playing responsible cricket and are scoring runs for their team.

On the other hand, Gujarat Lions is in great form. They have won 4 out of 5 matches being played. It is a new franchise and they are proving themselves very well. Gujarat has become the team to beat. Their opening batsman Aron Finch is in great form, he has scored 3 fifties out of 5 matches. He couldn’t bat in one match. So 3 fifties in 4 matches, amazing.  He is kind of a player who can take the game away from opposition in blink of an eye. Gujarat is lucky to have him in their team. Brendon McCullum is also a very destructive player who can destroy any opposition on his day. He is a complete classy player. He can play shots all around the stadium. Gujarat Lions looks quite a balanced side. They have great all-rounders as well in the shape of Jadeja and Bravo.

Keep an eye on

Quinton de Kock is the player who will definitely play an important role in today’s game. If he stays at the crease for some good time then it will be a huge drawback for the Gujarat Lions.

Aron Finch is in dream form and he can prove out to be a dangerous player in today’s match. His team would definitely want him to give a flying start.
