Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry set up in Hyderabad

HYDERABAD: Business women have set up the Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Hyderabad with Shahida Ghulam Rasool elected as president. An announcement to this effect was made by Ms. Shahida. She said Hyderabad was the second biggest city in Sindh and a metropolitan city being an economic and trade hub where there are various kinds of industries, factories, and home-based industries from here products are exported to the whole world and imported.

She said being a metropolitan city Hyderabad is a historically commercial center with a lot of women workers. She said to encourage women toward business and commerce there was needed to gather them on one platform. For this purpose, they were struggling for the last few years. She said at last they have succeeded with the blessings of God.

She said they have set up the Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry with a gathering of more than 200 businesswomen wherein Ms. Sadaf Raza has been elected as senior vice president, Rozina Memon as vice president, and other office bearers were elected.

She expressed thanks to Commissioner Hyderabad, Regional Director Trade Development Authority Pakistan, Pakistan Business Forum, Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Chamber of Small Industry and Business Women who all helped us in setting up the Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
