Kathryn Joosten of Desperate Housewives’ dies of cancer

Kathryn Joosten, 72, has died of cancer at Los Angles home. Being a winner of two Emmy Awards (2005 and 2008); Joosten was the best actress in her supporting sole in Desperate Housewives’.

The last show of Desperate Housewives’ was aired only three weeks ago which showed her in perfect order.  Kathryn Joosten acted the role of a gossipy neighbor who made schemes along with the main characters – named Susan, Lynette, Bree and Gabrielle – of the show.  The role showed her as a kind-hearted lady.

Kathryn Joosten is said to have started her career later in her age and she had married and then separated.

She has left two sons, Jonathan and Timothy. “We are laughing through our tears,” her family members stated.

Kathryn Joosten acted in her supporting character on opera named General Hospital and acted in two films named Hostage and Bedtime Stories.

She was a psychiatric nurse turned into an actress and lived with her sons in Chicago when she first started her acting career at 42.

“Some people in Hollywood think of me as a model for dramatic midlife transitions: suburban housewife to Emmy-winning actress,” Kathryn Joosten expressed her feelings on her website, “But I never plotted a master plan for following my dreams.”

Having fought against the lung cancer for nearly 11 years with full confidence, she finally succumbed to the disease and passed away.
