The Indian legendary cricketer, Sachin Tendulkar, has become a member of the upper house parliament.  Tendulkar, 39, vows to make use of his on-field performance before the political bustle.

A hero of millions, not only in India but around the globe, has now been appointed as the member of Rajya Sabha on a seat reserved for the people who show distinction in any type of social, arts or science fields.

“It is an honor which I accept with full respect but I am here because of my cricketing career,” Sachin Tendulkar told his mind in an interview, “I cannot take any focus away from my cricket because that is where it all started for me.”

Sachin Tendulkar has turned out to be the first ever active sportsman to serve in the upper house.

World’s highest Test Match scorer is on his way to influence the state decisions to make it healthier ad have more sportsman like spirit.

Hamid Ansari, the chairman of the Indian upper house, took oath from him while his wife is presented with a silk shawl by the other members.

Sachin Tendulkar, the master blaster, is on his way to help India excel in its sport activities.
