Siraj criticizes govt for not passing benefit of record low PoL prices to masses
KARACHI, Jan 31 (INP): Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan (JIP), Senator Siraj-ul-Haq has criticized the incumbent government for not passing benefits of record low PoL prices to masses and termed Rs5/ltr decrease in petrol prices as clumsy joke with masses.
Addressing party members and departmental heads of JI Karachi chapter here on Sunday, Sirajul Haq said that despite tall claims, the federal government is not intended to pass on the benefits of globally decreasing prices of petrol and other petroleum products.
He further said that the regulatory body OGRA had recommended decrease of upto Rs11 in the rate of petrol, which itself was quite an injustice in the current global scenario, but the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif rejected the summery and proved that the ruling regime has nothing to do with grievances of common man.
The JI chief said that the Premier followed the line, given by his brainless advisers. He said that the rate of crude oil is on its lowest level as compare to its rate during last one and half decade but so far no benefit has been provided to masses.
Graph of inflation was staidly climbing and the prices of daily life items also did not see any downwards trend, which shows the mentality of ruling regime for the poor people.
He further said that people of Pakistan are deeply associated with and keep strong belief in Islam, so any attempt to secularize society by force would produce strong reaction and adverse impacts for perpetrators. He made it clear that any attempt to impose secularism would be thwarted.
The JI leader hoped that 2018 would be the year of change and urged party members to gear up for the next general elections. He was of the view that Karachi is the city of skilled and able people. He further said that JI believes in democratic and peaceful struggle.
Citing the accomplishments of Abdul Sattar Afghani (Late) and Nematullah Khan, he said that the performances of these stalwarts are beacons of hopes for Karachiites. He said that the local government representatives, being associated with the JI would present their agenda before people and keep close contact with common people.
He stressed the need of a Welfare Islamic State, as per the concept of renowned religious scholar and founder of JI Syed Abul Aala Moududi.
Sirajul Haq said that despite all the hurdles and conspiracies, being hatched by international thugs, the Islamic movements across the globe have decided that only positive and democratic means would be adopted to bring durable change within their respective countries. He also shared his vision and thoughts regarding a peaceful revolution and an ideal Islamic Welfare State.
