Fresh Start Bakeries (FSB) has announced their plan to build a new bakery in Poland to improve distribution in Central Europe.
The new production plant in Strzegom will produce bread, hamburger buns and muffins on three production lines predominantly supplying the restaurant market.
The 13,000 sq m bakery will be FSB’s second in Poland and the seventh in Europe. Most of the country’s operations are based in North America.
The company said: “The attractiveness of the investment in Poland is seen both from the perspective of its beneficial geographical location and good infrastructure as well as availability of qualified staff”.
As per its intention, the new bakery will improve the distribution amongst Central European markets such as Germany and the Czech Republic as well as Poland and open new routes to new markets.
At the moment. The FSB serves most of Central Europe through its bakery in Michalow-Reginow in East-Central Poland.
From the products that will be produced at the new plant, around half of them will be exported. Produced goods will be sold as ready-to-eat fresh products, frozen products and part-baked frozen products.
At least fifty new employees are expected to be brought in to run the new plant which has already being constructed last month and is expected to be completed in February next year.
FSB also said that the location was chosen over ten other potential sites due to support from local authorities in the area.
