LAHORE: Punjab’s Minister for Auqaf and Religious Affairs, Chaudhry Shafay Hussain, has extended Eid Milad-un-Nabi felicitations to the nation, describing the birth of the Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad Mustafa (PBUH) as a great blessing of Almighty Allah for all of humanity.
In an official message issued on Monday to mark the occasion, the provincial minister said the Seerat-un-Nabi (PBUH) stands as a complete model of love, brotherhood, tolerance, justice and service to humanity — one that continues to hold relevance for societies far beyond the Muslim world.
The minister said the Holy Prophet (PBUH), through his exemplary character and Uswa-e-Hasana, taught mankind the lessons of peace, brotherhood and equality. His blessed life, the statement noted, is a luminous example of guidance and direction for all of humanity.
According to the statement, the teachings of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) encompass devotion to Almighty Allah, excellence of character, justice and fairness, equality, forbearance, forgiveness and service to creation — principles the minister framed as a working blueprint for public conduct rather than as ceremonial ideals.
Chaudhry Shafay Hussain said in his message that love for the Holy Prophet (PBUH) is an essential component of a Muslim’s faith. He added that it is only by acting upon the Prophet’s (PBUH) teachings that a peaceful, prosperous and model society can be built.
The remarks tie the religious observance to a broader civic argument that has featured consistently in official messaging around Rabi-ul-Awwal — that commemoration carries weight only when it translates into everyday ethical practice.

In his appeal to the public, the minister called for the promotion of peace, unity and religious harmony during Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH) celebrations across the province. He also asked citizens to offer special prayers for the progress, prosperity and security of the country.
The Auqaf and Religious Affairs Department is the provincial authority responsible for the administration of mosques and shrines under state management and for coordinating major religious observances in Punjab.
