Daesh network busted in Pakistan, reveals DG IB
ISLAMABAD: Director General of Intelligence Bureau (IB) on Wednesday claimed to have busted network of Daesh, also known as Islamic State in Pakistan.
During in-camera briefing in Islamabad, DG IB Aftab Sultan told NA Standing Committee on Interior & Narcotics that terrorists involved in more than ten incidents including attacks near Wagah Border and ANP leader Bashir Bilour‘s assassination have been arrested.
He said an arms depot of terrorists was also recovered from Tarnol area.
The IB chief admitted that there were intelligence reports regarding attacks on educational institutions but there was no information that Bacha Khan University (BKU) will be targeted.
He said only Punjab government is showing seriousness over the National Action Plan (NAP) against terrorism.
