Chen Zhi and Prince Holding Group at Forefront of Cambodia Private Sector’s ESG Initiatives

PHNOM PENH, CAMBODIA - Media
OutReach
 - 8 December 2020 - COVID-19 has highlighted the importance of environment, social and
governance ("ESG") practices at companies across the world. But there was talk
of change even before the outbreak of the pandemic. Last year, the Business
Roundtable (a group representing 181 CEOs of America's largest corporations) outlined
that companies must "support the communities in which they operate"[1],
upturning the longstanding focus on wealth maximization for shareholders
espoused by American economist Milton Friedman.

In 2020, times have changed.

This year, Prince Holding Group ("PHG"), one of the largest
conglomerates in Cambodia, has realized this and blazed a trail for companies
in the Kingdom looking to follow ESG principles. Since April,  the Group has made several large-scale
donations to help in the fight against the pandemic and assist flood victims,
and Neak Oknha Chen Zhi (陈志公爵), PHG chairman, has been the driving force behind the donations.
For example, in early December, Chen Zhi and PHG donated US$3,000,000 to Prime
Minister Hun Sen to help Cambodia purchase 1 million COVID-19 vaccines.

The notion of "doing good" in business is not new, but in Cambodia,
focus on ESG principles has only recently risen up the corporate agenda.
According to the GRI Sustainability Disclosure Database, the total number of
sustainability reports in Cambodia have doubled since 2015, mostly in the
financial services sector.[2]
More companies are expected to adhere to ESG principles thereby strengthening
the competitiveness of the Cambodian economy, which will not only attract
foreign investment but also improve the business environment.

As a company with a strong foothold in Cambodia, Chen Zhi and PHG helped
in the fight against the coronavirus earlier in the year by donating US$500,000
and by providing pandemic prevention supplies worth over US$600,000. In
October, Chen Zhi and the Group also provided flood relief support -- this
included 100 tons of rice, 300 cartons of instant noodles and 1,000 cartons of
drinking water, comprising a total value of US$75,000 -- for flood-hit victims in
Cambodia. Chen Zhi personally donated US$500,000 to help the victims. And, as
mentioned earlier, PHG made a large cash donation in December to help Cambodia
with its COVID-19 response, which will help the government procure and
distribute vaccines to Cambodians for free.

Over the years, Prince Real Estate
Charitable Foundation Organization, the Group's philanthropic arm, has also
launched more than 240 charitable events seeking to improve Cambodian lives
through donations of funds and supplies worth over US$11 million, benefitting
more than 320,000 people.

"As a company invested in the future of
Cambodia, Prince Holding Group will always help communities in their hour of
need. Furthermore, the Group is constantly contributing to ESG initiatives to benefit
Cambodia and uphold the company's role as a responsible stakeholder in local
affairs," states Neak Oknha Chen Zhi, chairman of PHG.

The focus on sustainability in corporate activity has come at an
important time, as the civil society sector in Cambodia is under
supported. Last year, the Cooperation Committee for Cambodia, an umbrella
body for the local NGO sector, warned that its 208 members need to "look
at other funds from the private sector" in the next five years.[3] In
July, the Centre for Asian Philanthropy and Society (CAPS), a Hong
Kong-headquartered think tank, noted that corporate funding, on average,
accounted for just 5%[4] of
the budget of Cambodian social development organizations, a third of the
proportion common elsewhere in Asia.

Going forward, CAPS also predicts that due to the pandemic, there is
expected to be a pullback in funding and support from foreign NGOs,
historically the main supporters of their local counterparts across
developing countries. With the arrest of funding and support from foreign NGOs,
private sector enterprises and governmental units therefore urgently need to
fill the gap to ensure continuity of the good work done at developmental
programmes and be ready to offer funding for emergency programmes in the
country.

Ritamix’s Qing Fei Pai Du Decoction Tea to hit the shelves soon

  • The nourishing herbal tea bags, which can be used to improve lung functions and other COVID-19 mild or moderate symptoms, will be made available in over 800 stores in Malaysia
  • Estimated retail sales of about RM2.5 million (HK$5 million) in Q42020, and RM8 million (HK$15 million) to RM10 million (HK$20 million) in 2021 from January 2021 onwards
  • Malaysian Halal certificate is in process
  • Another major move after venturing into the 100-billion-yuan NMN market

KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA - Media OutReach - 8 December 2020 - Hong Kong Stock Exchange Main Board Listed Company Ritamix Global Ltd (HKG: 1936) ("Ritamix" or "Group" or "Company") will be introducing its newly-develop decoction tea, also dubbed the Qing Fei Pai Du Decoction Tea ("Qing Fei Pai Du"), which can be used to improve lung functions and may help to prevent non-specific flu like symptoms.

Today, most people who get COVID-19 have mild or moderate symptoms like coughing, a fever, and shortness of breath. But some who catch the new coronavirus get severe pneumonia in both lungs.

Ritamix has now successfully developed a modified version of a traditional herbal tea -- first of its kind in Malaysia, and for that matter, outside China -- for the benefits of our health and well-being, especially the lungs. This modified version is only 10g and less potent as compared to the traditional 210g (boiled). It is only for prevention and lung strengthening.

Ritamix Global Ltd Founder and Chief Executive Officer Dato' Sri Howard Lee Haw Yih highlighted that the Group has been working very closely with some reputable Chinese herbalists over the past few months to come up with this decoction tea.

"We found the plants that contribute amazing healing nourishment and can help restore our natural balances. The beauty of our decoction tea is that it is both gentle and powerful. It could calm and soothe cough, as well as moisten lungs and throat," he said.

According to Dato' Sri Howard, the 15-teabag decoction tea will hit the stores as early as this week, as Ritamix has identified many strong sales channel partners in the Food & Beverage (F&B) industry, fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sector and online dealers.

"At least 200 supermarkets have decided to sell our decoction tea. Convenience store chain operators such as KK Super Mart (under negotiation), as well as groceries stores, will also be selling our products. Once it becomes popular, we plan to penetrate further to the traditional Chinese medicine retail outlets," he said confidently.

Given the overwhelming response from these supportive sales channel partners, Dato' Sri Howard foresees that Ritamix's decoction tea will be made available in over 800 stores across Malaysia.

"Our intention is to prioritise the states that are most affected by the COVID-19. We will allocate more products to Sabah, Selangor , and Kuala Lumpur to meet their needs. To us, it's not just about making profits, but also to play a part in fighting this pandemic," he stressed.

Conservatively, Dato' Sri Howard estimated that the decoction tea should generate retail sales of about RM2.5 million (HK$5 million) in Q42020, and RM8 million (HK$15 million) to RM10 million (HK$20 million) in 2021 from January 2021 onwards. But these sales figures are expected to grow steadily as the product starts gaining traction.

"For now, we will be focusing on selling the decoction tea in Malaysia. But when the time is right, we may explore the possibility of exporting it to Australia, India and the Philippines ," he elaborated.

Meanwhile, Dato' Sri Howard revealed that Ritamix is in the midst of applying for a fast-track halal certification for its decoction tea.

"If successful, I am optimistic that our decoction tea will become very popular in Kelantan, Terengganu, and Pahang," he said.

Dato' Sri Howard pointed out that Ritamix's decoction tea is not meant to cure, but meant for strengthening the lung and may help in the prevention against negative effects to the body from smoking, virus attack, bacterial infection, flu, haze, dust, and chemical waste gas.

"The original recipe of this decoction tea is from China, and it contains ingredients whose effect is too strong, so we could not drink it every day. But with our modified recipe, consumers can now drink it on a daily basis because it does not harm your body," he said.

Dato' Sri Howard went on to say that the launch of decoction tea signifies another major move by Ritamix, which has been focusing mainly in the animal feed and food industry ingredients, to strengthen its presence in the retail human food consumer market.

Ritamix has recently announced that the Group is venturing into the lucrative 100-billion-yuan market ofNicotinamide Mononucleotide ("NMN") dietary supplement product, which also known as " The Medicine of Immortality ".

NMN is a precursor, or rather, the ingredient to make nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD+), which is a critical coenzyme found in every cell of our body, to carry out cellular processes such as glucose metabolism, energy productions, DNA repair.

It was found that when an organism ages, the level of NAD+ decreases and it slows down many biological functions. The main reason in consumption of NMN supplement, mainly marketed in capsules or powder form, is to increase the level of NAD+ in the ageing population.

Dato' Sri Howard said: "We are also going to be carrying NMN products for cats and dogs at the end of next year. Therefore, the Group will have strong expertise in the NMN and NAD+ boosters, which are crucial in contributing to cell energy and allows each of the anti-ageing properties promoted by cells with adequate ability to grow and regenerate. "

Dato' Sri Howard, who has 20 years of vast experience in the industry, reveals that the second in-house product of Ritamix, known as "Tang Yuan Tang" -- an NAD+ supplement in powder sachet form -- is expected to hit the Malaysian market in early 2021.

Subsequently, Ritamix also plans to sell its NMN products in China via the cross-border e-commerce channel.

"NMN is currently not an approved health food or general food ingredient in China and thus can only be marketed via the above channel. NMN is undoubtedly the biggest supplement product to hit China's cross-border e-commerce this year," Dato' Sri Howard added.

"It is timely for Ritamix to now venture into the human NMN market as a recent doctor's study indicates COVID-19 patients exhibit improvement with NMN cocktail treatment," Dato' Sri Howard said.

Dato' Sri Howard Lee says: "I believe this is an important milestone for Ritamix. Our Company has been in the animal feed ingredients and human food ingredients industry for over two decades. And now, with this NAD+ supplement, we are going to be part of the cure for this pandemic."

Without divulging the details, Dato' Sri Howard says the launch of "Tang Yuan Tang" is just a beginning of something great in the making, as Ritamix has other exciting and innovative products in the pipeline, which will make the Company a prominent player in the pharmaceutical industry amid the Covid-19 pandemic.

About Ritamix Global Ltd

Ritamix Global Ltd ("Ritamix" or "Group" or "Company") is a Malaysia-based company with more than 37 years of track record, principally engaging in (i) distribution of animal feed additives and, to a lesser extent, human food ingredients; and (ii) manufacturing of animal feed additives premixes. The Company sourced over 300 brand products from over 70 suppliers of different brand names to promote and distribute their products in Malaysia. They also produced over 150 own brand animal feed additives premixes for sales in Malaysia and overseas.

Ritamix possesses a GMP-compliant manufacturing plant installed with a seven-storey automated mixer to sieve, weigh and homogenise their own brand animal feed additives premixes in accordance with different formulae. The Group provides customised services to customers by formulating premixes with specific dosage and combination of ingredients that fit the customers' needs to, among others, improve fertility and livability of poultry, strengthen egg shell and colouring properties of egg yolks and improve feed conversion rate of livestock.

About NMN

NMN stands for β-nicotinamide mononucleotide, which is a trending new ingredient in the field of dietary supplements. It was first discovered in 2013 by world-renowned Australian biologist David Andrew Sinclair, who is a professor of genetics at Harvard Medical School. In 2019, Professor Shinichiro Imai from the University of Washington confirmed that it extended the average remaining lifespan of experimental animals by 2.3 times.

NMN is one of the quickest means of stimulating NAD production, which then contributes to cell energy and allows each of the anti-aging properties promoted by cells with adequate ability to grow and regenerate.

Winners will have access to financial support, coaching and networking opportunities to help scale their innovative technology solutions

HONG KONG SAR - Media
OutReach
 - 8 December 2020 - Prudence Foundation, the
community investment arm of Prudential in Asia and Africa, together with Humanitarian
Partner International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC)
and Technology Partner Lenovo, today launches the second edition of the SAFE
STEPS Disaster Tech (D-Tech) Awards[1]. The Awards find, fund and
support technology solutions that save lives before, during or after natural
disaster events.

Since 2000, more than 40 per cent of global disaster events have taken
place in the Asia Pacific region[2],
resulting in around 800,000 deaths and affecting 3.2 billion people[3]. This year,
the COVID-19 pandemic which has infected more than 11 million people[4] and
expected to result in over US$2.7 trillion in economic losses[5], has
magnified the importance of disaster preparedness and collaboration across all
sectors in reducing the threat and impact of natural disaster events.

The SAFE STEPS D-Tech Awards was created
by Prudence Foundation out of the belief that technology innovation can play a more
significant role in improving disaster preparedness, recovery and resilience. The
Awards are part of SAFE STEPS, a multi-platform, mass
awareness programme developed by Prudence Foundation and supported by the IFRC
and other partners to provide life-saving information around natural disaster
events, road safety and first aid.

Organisations participating in
the Awards will stand a chance to win grants from a pool of US$200,000 to
support the implementation and scaling of their D-Tech solutions. Semi-finalists
and finalists will have access to expert coaching, pitching and networking
opportunities with humanitarian representatives, venture capital fund managers,
fellow tech entrepreneurs and social enterprise developers. Finalists will pitch
their solutions to a panel of judges in June 2021.

Donald Kanak, Chairman of
Prudence Foundation, said, "The ongoing COVID-19 pandemic has raised the awareness
of the critical need for disaster preparedness and the power of technology in
resilience, response and recovery. We established the SAFE STEPS D-Tech Awards
to encourage entrepreneurs across the world to direct their energy and
ingenuity in applying their technology to reduce the devastating impact of disasters.
We believe D-Tech has huge potential to be a disruptive game changer for good
and be just as impactful as technology has been in other areas, such as edtech,
fintech and medtech."

Alexander
Matheou, IFRC's Regional Director for Asia Pacific, said, "2020 has shown us that resilience
against disasters has never been more important. IFRC is pleased to work with Prudence
Foundation again on the SAFE STEPS D-Tech Awards to bring businesses and
communities together to support tech solutions that will help save lives."

Pratima
Harite, Head of Corporate Social Responsibility and Philanthropy for Lenovo Asia Pacific, said,
"Technology can play a fundamental role in improving resilience in communities
impacted by natural and other disasters. Lenovo aims to combine the power of
world-class technology solutions with the creativity and know-how of local
entrepreneurs and charitable organisations, to achieve better preparedness,
recovery, and resilience."

The Awards are supported by a
wide range of strategic partners, including the Asian Venture Philanthropy
Network (AVPN), Antler, e27, Give2Asia, Hatcher+, Jubilee Capital Management and
National Geographic.

The competition is open for entries from today to 19 February 2021. Both for-profit and non-profit

Together, these deals represent a record-breaking transaction value of HK$54 billion (US$ 7 billion), comprising the first-ever retail portfolio sale of 17 shopping malls owned by Link REIT, a further sale of 12 Link REIT malls, prime office buildings named 8 Bay East (now rebranded as NEO) and Mapletree Bay Point (now rebranded as International Trade Tower) in Kowloon East. All four deals have involved well-balanced portfolios of top international buyers and sellers, demonstrating the firm's capabilities to facilitate mega club deals, bridging local expertise with global capital.

The firm's 2020 RICS Award success in Hong Kong has also been matched in mainland China, with the Cushman & Wakefield Capital Markets China team winning the "Best Deal of the Year" award in the RICS China Awards 2020 with a club deal for the Shanghai Pufa Tower property. This dual recognition in both Hong Kong and mainland China markets is indicative of the firm's expertise and collaborative synergies that underpin its market leadership across the Greater China region.

Francis Li, International Director, Vice President, Greater China & Head of Capital Markets, Greater China, Cushman & Wakefield, said, "I am deeply proud of our teams for facilitating these deals of unprecedented scale and complexity, with clear strategies and precision. I congratulate them for their unwavering professionalism and innovative approaches to set the standard in the industry."

The Retail Team of Cushman & Wakefield has received award recognitions for "Retail Team of the Year" for three consecutive years, with this year being the Winner of the award for Nathan 562 property, a nine-storey vertical retail commercial building in Mongkok. Kevin Lam, Executive Director & Head of Retail Services, Hong Kong, at Cushman & Wakefield, commented: "We are proud to be the industry pioneer, stepping up from traditional agency brokerage services to provide an integrated full-service platform. Our "Retail Asset Continuous Enhancement" (RACE) offering is a first in Hong Kong's retail leasing industry, incorporating conceptualization, leasing strategies and execution, marketing campaigns, and properties and facilities management, as well as ongoing tenancy performance management. It's proven to be a great success in the market, and we are well-positioned as a trusted partner to both landlords and tenants alike into the future."

In addition to these two major 2020 awards, Cushman & Wakefield also scooped a Certificate of Excellence for "Office Team of the Year," and for a second entry in "Best Deal of the Year."

John Siu, Managing Director, Hong Kong, Cushman & Wakefield, commented, "Our teams continue to show resilience in the face of economic challenges and fierce industry competition. Backed by years of experience, a culture of innovation and first-rate market intelligence, we remain well-positioned to provide strategic advisory services to our clients. We are proud of our winning tradition at the RICS Hong Kong Awards and recognition from impartial third parties remain a testament to our ability to meet client needs."

K. K. Chiu, Chief Executive, Greater China, Cushman & Wakefield, concluded, "This accolade is the best testament to our industry leadership and service excellence across Greater China. With our deep local knowledge and extensive footprint in the region, we are in the best leadership position to provide a full suite of value-added services and solutions to help clients capture the market opportunities. Looking ahead to 2021, we are confident that we will see more exciting deals across Hong Kong and Greater China."

The annual RICS Hong Kong Awards ceremony celebrates outstanding achievements in the industry across a range of categories. With years of tradition, it is a recognised symbol of credibility among industry players.

Wildlife on board: DHL safely relocates “the world’s loneliest elephant”

  • The
carefully planned temperature-controlled multimodal journey of Kaavan started
from Islamabad and ended in a sanctuary in Cambodia
  • The logistics leader worked with global animal
welfare organization FOUR PAWS and veterinary specialists to ensure a safe and
    comfortable ride for the elephant
  • First-ever adult elephant that was flown out of
Pakistan is now safe and sound in his new home

SINGAPORE - Media OutReach - 7
December 2020 - Kaavan, a 36-year old Asian elephant, is settling
in his new home in Cambodia after his flight from Islamabad, Pakistan.  The "long-haul" flight took months of careful
and extensive planning by FOUR PAWS, a global animal welfare organization,
veterinary specialists and DHL Global Forwarding. The international freight
specialist arm of Deutsche Post DHL Group took care of the logistics, including
securing the necessary customs authorization, for the transportation of Kaavan from
his previous home at the Marghazar Zoo.

Kaavan boarded the
plane on 30 November in a customized crate for his long-awaited journey,
planned by DHL Global Forwarding and FOUR PAWS.

DHL Global Forwarding
took care of the logistics, including securing the necessary customs
authorization, for the relocation of Kaavan to his new home at Cambodia
Wildlife Sanctuary.

Weighing over four tons and at more than three meters in
height, Kaavan boarded the plane on 30 November after a medical check for his
long-awaited journey to his new home at Cambodia Wildlife Sanctuary. The Asian
elephant had taken a truck ride, from the zoo to the Islamabad International
Airport. A customized crate, in full compliance with the International Air
Transport Association's regulations, was specially built for the trips.

"Shipping live animals is especially complex as each animal
has its unique requirements and Kaavan, who belongs to the largest land mammal species
on the Asian continent, is the first adult elephant to board an airplane in
Pakistan. We had to make special arrangements for him and are delighted to have
been able to leverage our logistics know-how and global network of temperature
controlled facilities, in addition to FOUR PAWS' animal expertise, to safely
bring Kaavan to his new home in Cambodia," said Kelvin Leung, CEO, DHL Global
Forwarding Asia Pacific.

Kaavan, also known as the world's loneliest elephant,
received global attention for his living conditions in the Marghazar Zoo. To prepare
for the journey
, the elephant received special training for several weeks
to securely enter his crate. Kaavan was accompanied by a team of wildlife
veterinarians who watched over him and kept him calm.

"The highly-anticipated voyage is the result of months of
planning and coordination with DHL and various animal specialists, such as the
team from EKIPA, with the support of local Pakistan officials, American businessman
Eric S. Margolis and Cher's non-governmental organization Free The Wild. Kaavan
has been relocated to provide him with a species-appropriate environment and
for the care that they require, and every possible effort has been made to
ensure that the trip, which is his  passageway to a better life, was safe and
comfortable for him," said Dr. Amir Khalil,  FOUR PAWS veterinarian and leader
of the rescue mission.

In 2018, DHL successfully helped four
grown endangered Ussuri brown bears
travel across continents from Japan to
England, and sent two
giant pandas
on a climate-neutral journey from China to Finland.

Note to editors:

Even the most seasoned of travelers would be prone to
feeling cranky after spending 20 hours on a 9,000km trip. But four Ussuri bears
were little fazed by such an experience when they made the journey from Japan
to England in August 2018.

home.

NIPSEA Technologies Collaborates With A*Star to Innovate in The Field of Autonomous Navigation

NIPSEA aims to contribute to the innovations needed for C.A.S.E. (Connected, Autonomous, Shared and Electric mobility).

SINGAPORE - Media
OutReach
 - 7 December 2020 - NIPSEA Technologies and the Agency for
Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR) have joined forces in the field of
coating solutions for autonomous navigation. Over the next three years, this
groundbreaking collaboration will be developing coating solutions for C.A.S.E.
(connected, autonomous, shared and electric mobility) which offers a glimpse
into the future of automobiles and its rapid developments.

Established
in 2011, NIPSEA Technologies is the Research and Development facility of Nippon
Paint Group, outside Japan and China. NIPSEA'S current collaboration with
A*STAR paves the way to promote innovative R&D projects, leveraging
expertise in chemicals, engineering sciences, and infocomm technologies.

"This current
project is part of our goal to contribute to the innovations in the rapidly
changing automotive industry. We are very honoured to have A*STAR as our
partner in this attempt to develop disruptive technologies," said Mr. Wee Siew
Kim, Group Chief Executive Officer of NIPSEA Group.

From
L-Rt: Mr WANG Chyang (Managing Director of Nippon Paint Singapore Group), Mr.
WEE Siew Kim (Group Chief Executive Officer of NIPSEA Group), Mr. Frederick
CHEW (Chief Executive Officer of A*STAR) and Prof. TAN Sze Wee (Assistant Chief
Executive, Enterprise A*STAR)

This exciting
partnership is yet another milestone for NIPSEA and A*STAR, who have previously
worked on several key initiatives over the past eight years. This includes the
ICAP (Industrial Coating and Packaging) consortium project which produced
packaging films that protect foods and medicine from oxidation, by keeping
moisture out and blocking UV rays. The parties also worked on the Cool
Singapore project helmed by Nanyang Technological University (NTU) in 2017,
yielding a total cool paint solution to reduce Singapore's ambient temperature
by 2 °C. Through this collaboration, NIPSEA has developed full cool paint
systems by modification and development of coatings for cool walls, roof and
road applications. More recently in 2019, the two cutting-edge organisations
also collaborated on an anti-microbial coating project which was successfully
implemented for solvent-borne auto interior coatings in China.

The current
project is part of NIPSEA's aim to develop coating technologies for the evolving
needs of the automotive and transportation industry. Over the next three years,
the two organisations will work on several fronts in the field of autonomous
navigation. This includes the development of new coating solutions that
addresses the key challenges of safety and cost in autonomous driving, as well
as the employment of machine and deep learning approaches to increase
productivity in coating research and development.

"We
have worked together with A*STAR since 2012 and have achieved many milestones
together. However, this project, in particular, is very exciting as for the
second consecutive year, Singapore ranks at the top of the list of countries
ready to embrace autonomous vehicles (AVs), according to the 2019 Autonomous Vehicles
Readiness Index (AVRI)
conducted by KPMG. Hence, this allows NIPSEA to lay an
excellent foundation to be the pioneer in autonomous navigation, over the next
decade," said Dr. Hong Jiang, Chief Technology Officer of NIPSEA Group.

Dr.
HONG Jiang (Chief Technology Officer of NIPSEA Group) in NIPSEA Group R&D
Innovation Center, Shanghai

Similarly,
NIPSEA's commitment to this cutting-edge project is echoed by A*STAR. Together,
the organisations are looking forward to continuing their working relationship.

"Working
alongside NIPSEA has been a happy journey for us, as both organisations place
high emphasis on innovations that benefit society in a sustainable way. In this
emerging and dynamic field of autonomous navigation, we are building upon our
long-standing collaboration to create a technology solution for a safer
environment," said Professor Alfred Huan, Assistant Chief Executive, Science &
Engineering Research Council, A*STAR.

This
collaboration is firmly in line with NIPSEA's DNA to push the boundaries of
innovation. This project will also provide major long-term benefits to
Singapore and to the future of autonomous navigation. For more information and
updates on this collaboration, visit http://www.nipponpaint.com/.
