GHOTKI: A minor girl raped and burnt alive along with her mother in Khenju Police precincts near Daharki but the mother sustained burnt injuries after prolong unconsciousness of 26 days.
Allah Wadhai, 42, unveiled the real facts of the death of her daughter Sheema 12-years old before media persons and told The Lahore Times about horrifying details.
According to Allah Wadhai, mother of Sheema said that on February 28, as per routine she and her daughter Sheema went to sell handmade bed sheets “Rilhees” to the nearby villages, on the day three men Noor Hassan, Gul Hassan and Hashim Mochi asked them to stay night at their hut due to bad weather, on the refusal accused forced them to stay and unwillingly they stayed. She further said, accused served tea and soon after having it Sheema fell unconscious and she went asleep. After a while, she heard screams of Sheema and tried to save her but failed. Later, the accused Noor Hassan, Gul Hassan and Hashim Mochi torched up the hut and ran out, she added.
Sadiq Solangi, son of the Allah Wadhai added on March 1, a local Wadera Meenho Mahar brought both of victims to Daharki hospital in critical condition and then shifted to Shaikh Zaid Hospital Rahimyar Khan, where Sheema could not survive. “After 26 days my mother opened her eyes in hospital of Rahimyar Khan where she inquired about Sheema, when we informed her about Sheema’s death she told us the true story behind the death and burn injuries” he said.
Taj Muhammad, father of Sheema said that when they asked to SHO Khenjhu to lodge a complaint and come at hospital in Daharki to review the condition and get the statement from here wife Allah Wadhai, he asked us to settle the issue with the party. He added that no case has been registered and they are still wandering for the justice.
A petition has been registered on the application of Sadiq Solangi against Iqbal Rajpar SHO Khenjhu, Noor Hassan, Gul Hassan and Hashim Mochi in the Honourable session court Ghotki.
It is worthwhile to mention that another minor Shaheena was gang raped in Daharki on Wednesday, HR activist and people of civil society protested for the demand of justice but the police has still failed to arrest the accused culprits.
