Another Blast Hits Pakistan’s Big City Peshawar – the Capital of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

PESHAWAR: A bomb exploded in a bus near Peshawar on Friday. The explosion stood fatal, killing 19 and wounding numerous as the hospital sources exclaimed.

The sources said that the bus was travelling from Peshawar and was set for Charsadda when a bomb exploded and everything was ruined for most of the passengers.

The wounded and the dead were moved to the Lady Reading Hospital and Charsadda Hospital. Medical Superintendent of the Lady Reading hospital confirmed to have received 11 dead bodies.

An official belonging to Charsadda Hospital also confirmed that they had also received eight dead bodies.

“The Civil Secretariat bus was carrying around 40 people, most of them government employees, when there was a huge blast,” a police official said.

The bomb exploded in the Daudzai area; the bus contained government employees as well as some other private passengers.

“The bomb was planted under the bus,” Information Minister Mian Iftikhar Hussain told the reporters, “We still can’t say how many government employees and private passengers were killed, but there were heavy human losses.”

“The explosion triggered massive smoke inside the bus but even then we could feel soft and bloody pieces of human flesh hitting our bodies,” Muhammad Ullah, a bus passenger, told AFP.
